Located outside of Lewiston, Artpark encompasses over 200 acres solely devoted to nature and the arts, both visual and performing. During the summer, a full schedule of events includes world-class musical and theatrical performances, workshops, kids' themed summer camps, and festivals. Many of the events are free, and the majority of them are especially family friendly. The park is also popular for hiking and walking, bicycling, fishing, and picnicking. Large-scale sculptures line some of the trails; other interesting features include an 1800-year-old burial mound, views of the Niagara River gorge, art studios, and plenty of birding opportunities.
